Team Cooking in a Alp Hut

Homely and delicious!

Together you cook a tasty dish called ‘Älpermakkaroni’ with apple sauce – a creamy Swiss pasta recipe – on the kitchen stove and then enjoy the fruits of your labour in a convivial round. Only it’s not as easy as it sounds, as the temperature can’t be regulated as easily as on a modern hob. Just in case, the meal is accompanied by a colourful salad bar and, on request, we can arrange for a mouthwatering cake buffet for dessert. Please enquire about other meals we can offer.

The Alpine Cabin

This alpine retreat is situated 1300 metres (4000 ft) above sea level and offers an amazing panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. It can be reached on foot in about 40 minutes on a comfortable hiking trail. Alternatively in winter, one can ski there as it lies directly on a piste. In summer it is possible to drive all the way to the hut. The large lounge offers seating for a maximum of 50 people. After dinner the group makes their way back down into the valley.

Night Walk with Torches

On their way back the participants are equipped with torches both in the winter and summer season. It makes wandering through the great outdoors at night a magical experience. Particularly walking through a freshly snowed-in winter landscape!

In Winter

Our winter special: free mulled wine and punch as a welcome drink! The ascent or descent to this venue in winter is ideal for a short snowshoe tour through the fairy-tale-like winter landscape. The guests also have the option to ski or go on staves (ancient skis made from barrels) on the nearby piste back down to the valley.

In Summer

In summer there is the option to add roasting sausages on the open fire to the lunch experience. The Swiss specialities ‘Cervelat’ or ‘Bratwurst’ go on a stick and straight onto the fire. Careful not to burn it!
